Lime Kiln

A facility used to manufacture the quicklime that is vital to the steel industry, chemical industry, and paper industry, etc., is the lime kiln.
Steel Plantech concluded a license agreement with the Swiss company Maerz Ofenbau AG, acquiring exclusive rights to the manufacturing and sale of Maerz kilns in Japan. Boasting an abundance of experience and technological strength gleaned from almost 50 years of the design, manufacturing, and installation of lime kilns, and the highest number of deliveries in Japan, this product has gained the deep trust of our customers.

Technical Information

Square parallel-flow regenerative kiln

  1. The conditions required for steel structures and refractories are light, making manufacturing easier.
  2. A simple structure provide good cost-effectiveness.
  3. A flat-type stone charging system is utilized to enable effective control of limestone particle size distribution inside the kiln.
  4. It is possible to provide a consistent gas flow that is needed to maintain homogeneity and high quality.

Round parallel-flow regenerative kiln

  1. Between 200 tons and 800 tons of quicklime can be produced each day.
  2. Perfectly consistent heat distribution is possible.
  3. Advanced charged stone particle size distribution.

Pillar-less Kiln

  1. Refractory contraction can be conducted freely during startup and shutdown, making it more difficult for warping to occur. 
  2. A low amount of dust accumulation in side channels means that channels are cleaned less frequently, thereby enabling a higher rate of operation. 
  3. The number of special-form bricks is reduced, thereby decreasing the total brick weight. 
  4. The use of precast castables at the bottom of the suspended cylinder makes installation work easier.

Single-shaft Kiln

  1. Temperature regulation is easy, enabling a broad range of activity. 
  2. A wide range of size of raw stones can be processed. 
  3. The level of impurities (sulfur, fluorine, etc.) contained in the product is low. 
  4. Gas, liquid, and solid fuel can be used. 
  5. The amount of capital expenditures per product ton is low.

Finelime Kiln

  1. Stone sizes of 15 mm to 40 mm can be calcined. (Patented) 
  2. The stone charging system enables distributed charging of stones. 
  3. The fuel distribution system regulates the number of burner lances.
