JP Steel Plantech Co., a steelmaking plant engineering manufacturer (President: Nobuyuki Nada; head office: Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa), will hold a seminar titled “Joint Technical Seminar Tokyo, 2019” at the Embassy of Belgium (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, jointly with the John Cockerill Group (hereafter referred to as JC), a Belgian general heavy machinery manufacturer. Domestic steelmaking companies, who are our clients, will be invited to this seminar.

JP Steel Plantech and JC concluded a business alliance agreement in July last year for mutual sales cooperation for the main products of both companies in the downstream processes. JC’s spray pickling lines and other pickling facilities boast a large share, especially in the European market, thanks to its excellent technology. Seven members of JC Industry will visit Japan for this seminar to present and explain their technologies and share the information on JC with the Japanese market.

In addition, JP Steel Plantech will present its leveling/straightening technologies, such as automotive high-tensile steel sheets, to show the benefits of our alliance. We plan to give a reception party after the seminar, where we will serve authentic Belgian dishes and Belgian beer to cultivate friendship with invitees.

Starting from this seminar, we will strengthen the alliance with JC in Japan, and also expand our business in Europe and South East Asia to provide the optimum and attractive products to the steel product market by using the resources of both companies.
